Six people, aged between 40 and 64, were arrested by the State Police after being found in possession of a large quantity of child pornographic material, over 200,000 files including images and videos. This was announced this morning by the Milan Police Headquarters.

According to reports, two of those arrested reside in Milan, two in the province of Lodi, one in the province of Como and one in Naples.

"The investigation," reads a statement, "was conducted by the Lombardy Cyber Security Operations Centre, directed by the Milan Public Prosecutor's Office, with the operational coordination of the National Centre for Combating Online Child Pornography of the Postal Police and Cyber Security Service, and was launched in December 2025. In particular, thanks to collaboration with an international non-profit organisation, accounts were identified through which videos and images of child pornography had been shared and downloaded."
