UN, September 24. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, at a meeting with Jordan's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Hussein Abdullah Safadi, emphasized Russia's commitment to a two-state settlement of the Middle East conflict based on UN resolutions.
At the start of the meeting - held on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly - the Jordanian minister responded to a question from Lavrov regarding his address to the UN by describing the current situation, including Israel's actions in the West Bank.
"As you know, Russia is strictly committed to implementing UN resolutions regarding a two-state settlement," Lavrov noted.
