Piazza Affari closes the session higher, with the Ftse Mib up 0.8%, as European stock markets benefited from the decline in oil prices and the firmness shown by the Fed in its fight against inflation.
On the Milan exchange, Poste (+3.4%) and Tim (+3%) stood out, the latter approaching the reopening period of the tender offer, along with Fincantieri (+2.4%) and Stellantis (+2.3%), ahead of utilities Hera (+2%), Enel (+1.7%) and Terna (+1.7%). Among banking stocks, Mediobanca (+1.4%) and Mps (+1.3%) advanced, followed by Intesa (+1.1%), while Banco Bpm was sluggish (-0.4%).
Going against the trend were Campari (-1.6%), Buzzi (-0.9%) and energy stocks with Tenaris (-0.8%) and Eni (-0.6%), while outside the Ftse Mib, Pininfarina soared (+17.6%), aligning itself with the price of 1 euro per share of the takeover bid launched by Pininfarina Holdings.
