LUGANSK, September 21. /TASS/. Due to the Russian troops’ offensive, Ukrainian armed forces abandoned several well-fortified key positions in Dobropolye in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), military expert Andrey Marochko reported.
"The Russian Armed Forces have expanded their zone of control in the Druzhkovka area. Our military has also achieved significant success in Dobropolye – Ukrainian armed formations were forced to abandon several well-fortified key positions," he wrote on his VKontakte page after analyzing data released by the Russian Defense Ministry.
Marochko added that in the meantime, Ukrainian troops continued their counterattacks near the Krasny Liman settlement in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), including by deploying nationalist units for the attacks. In addition, the Ukrainian armed forces were also trying to retake lines and positions in the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk metropolitan area.
On Saturday, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Russian troops were engaged in street fighting in the central district of Dobropolye.
