MINSK, October 9. /TASS/. Ukraine’s Charge d’Affaires in Minsk Ivan Novitsky has been summoned to the Belarusian Foreign Ministry following a Ukrainian drone attack on a Belarusian-registered truck in Russia’s borderline Bryansk Region.
"On October 9, 2026, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry summoned Ukraine’s Charge d’Affaires Ivan Novitsky. The summons was prompted by yesterday’s attack by a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle on a Belarusian-registered truck in Russia’s Bryansk Region," the Belarusian Foreign Ministry wrote on its Telegram channel, adding that the attack left a Belarusian national badly wounded.
"A note of protest was handed to the diplomat, stating that Kiev had previously been warned that such actions were unacceptable," the ministry noted. According to the ministry, the vehicle's affiliation was obvious, "and the Belarusian side has grounds to view the attack as intentional.".
