His name was Davide Di Lernia, and he was the son of the ironic singer-songwriter and television host Leone Di Lernia. The 47-year-old died after midnight in an accident on Via Mecenate in Milan.
A videomaker and producer, Davide Di Lernia had also worked at radio stations such as Radio Monte Carlo, Radio 105 Network and Virgin Radio. Just a few hours before the crash, he had posted images from Carl Cox's DJ set at Carroponte.
He was riding his motorcycle towards the city centre when, for reasons still under investigation, he lost control and crashed into the protective railing of the tram tracks, and was killed.
The body is at the disposal of the judicial authority and the public prosecutor has ordered the seizure of the vehicle.
