"We were a bit stuck in the last few matches, a bit static. I think the players' freedom, the movement and above all the runs from deep made the difference. I think Roma and Inter are far ahead. If you look at our way of playing and at our opponents, I think they have had more time together as a team. You can see that their mechanisms are there and are clearer compared to our group, but we haven't lost that many points": this is the opinion of Ruben Amorim, gathered by Dazn after the 3-0 victory over Lecce.
"Balance of these first five matches? We deserved more points, against Lazio we could have gone on to win and against Juventus we conceded at the end. We are doing well." Amorim also returns to the question of team selection: "I certainly listen to the players, but for a manager, especially at a big club, it is impossible to make decisions just by listening to them. I try to understand them, but then the decision is always mine."
