Enrico Borello, one of the most acclaimed actors of his generation, seen in Familia, Supersex, 40 secondi, and the lead in Gabriele Mainetti's La Città proibita, has won the Ecomov award at the Tavolara festival. "For his performance in 40 secondi by Vincenzo Alfieri. For the talent, sensitivity and authenticity with which he is building his artistic path, establishing himself as one of the most promising revelations of the new Italian cinema," reads the motivation of the festival organised by the Argonauti association.
Borello and Alfieri will work together again, as they are about to return to the set of a new crime series for Netflix.
As learned, it is a series about the sensational safe deposit box robbery in Rome, the so-called "Heist of the Century" at the vault of the Rome Courthouse in Piazzale Clodio in July 1999. An operation behind which stood Massimo Carminati, a prominent figure in Roman organised crime, a former NAR militant involved in the Mafia Capitale investigation. The contents of the safe deposit boxes, which were opened in a targeted manner, were never discovered or recovered; they belonged to magistrates, lawyers and state officials. Secrets never revealed. His presence at the Tavolara Festival "fully embodied its spirit, participating with generosity, curiosity and a sincere desire for encounter and sharing, values that make cinema a cultural and human experience," highlights Marco Navone, president of the association.
