"I have not yet had the time to look into" Elly Schlein's letter in depth, but "I intend to examine it without prejudice. I have absolutely no prejudice when sensible proposals are put forward. I certainly do not have the prejudices of the Italian opposition, who are almost asking people to go and pay their car tax just to challenge the government's measures. If there are any useful proposals, I will take them into consideration."
This was stated by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, following her meeting with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre in Oslo, in response to a question about the proposals made by the PD leader regarding the use of 14 billion euros that Italy could deploy by 2028 to accelerate the energy transition.
"From a very quick reading of this letter, I am pleased that there is an implicit acknowledgement of the government's work," she added.
