LONDON, October 17. /TASS/. SpaceX founder Elon Musk has approached US President Donald Trump with the idea to slow down the Starlink satellite system in Ukraine, The Daily Telegraph reported citing sources.
According to it, Trump agreed to Musk’s proposal, which opened the way for the Pentagon to slow down Starshield — the military version of Starlink.
Musk said on X on October 14 that he was not responsible for the restrictions on the satellite system’s operation. Daily Telegraph sources suggested that Musk made this statement out of fear of a negative reaction from consumers in Europe.
Earlier, Reuters quoted sources as saying that the order to restrict Ukraine’s access to Starshield came from the White House.
