The situation has once again worsened due to sudden flare-ups on the fire front between Noragugume, Ottana and Sedilo, between the Nuoro and Oristano areas, where more than 500 hectares of land have gone up in flames and over twenty agro-livestock farms have been damaged.
To combat the resurgence of the flames, two Canadairs, the Super Puma from the Fenosu base (Oristano) and three helicopters from the regional fleet have taken to the air. Currently the fire is affecting a vast area and the wind is increasing in intensity: gusts from the west have reached 40 km/h.
