The search continues for the 45-year-old Dutch tourist who yesterday at around 12:30 plunged into the waters of Lake Como off Menaggio, where he had dived from the boat he had rented to help his 16-year-old son who was in difficulty.
The son was saved, but the father disappeared. Searches in the area were immediately launched by the coast guard and fire brigade. Fire brigade divers are on site, supported by nautical vehicles and specialised personnel.
