A man was arrested yesterday evening in Treviso following a violent altercation with his former partner, who was hospitalised, after which the woman's home caught fire. Firefighters were called to the scene – as reported by the Tribuna di Treviso – at around 9:30 pm, providing assistance to the woman, who was taken to hospital with a medium severity code. According to initial information provided by the Police Headquarters, the fire was deliberately set and was started following the altercation by the former partner, who was detained by Police. The column of smoke caused by the flames was visible across the city, but the blaze was contained within a short time by firefighters.
