Available today on all digital platforms and set for radio rotation from Friday, September 25, Agua is the new single from Latin music icons Maluma and Shakira.

"It's a merengue that blends tropical energy with a contemporary production. The vocal chemistry between Maluma and Shakira is once again the heart of the story," explains a press release. "Shakira was one of the first globally established artists to support Maluma when his international career was just getting started."

The artistic partnership between Maluma and Shakira began with Chantaje, continued with Trap and Clandestino, and also included the remix of La Bicicleta alongside Carlos Vives.

The release of Agua is accompanied by a music video directed by Hannah Lux Davis, a director on the international pop scene, who builds a world in which water serves as the unifying thread.

Later this month, Shakira will take the stage at the Shakira Stadium for her already sold-out Madrid residency, which has sold over 500,000 tickets. Ahead of this occasion, the artist has launched Es Latina: a month-long cultural platform celebrating Spanish and Latin artists in the fields of music, fashion, art, literature, gastronomy and dance at Macondo Park.
