"Regarding the RAI Oversight Committee, today I announced that the deadlines have expired. However, I have given an additional 6-7 days until Tuesday. On Wednesday I will proceed, as is my duty, to appoint the members of the groups that have not yet submitted names, starting from the top and working down through the ranks. If by chance those too were to resign, and if in the meantime the other groups give me their names, the committee can function until a new phase. It can function all the same." This was stated by the President of the Senate, Ignazio La Russa, regarding the bicameral RAI Oversight Committee, at the end of the conference of group leaders at Palazzo Madama. He continued: "Right now no one has remained in office because they all resigned. But if a portion remains in office, we will obviously proceed if there is a quorum."
