This was underlined in a statement by the President of the Campania Region, Roberto Fico, and the Regional Councillor for Culture, Ninni Cutaia.
"We extend our warmest congratulations to the communities, administrations and all those involved in the development of these significant candidacies," they explained. "Pozzuoli, with its project 'The City of Creative Fragilities', transforms the complex signs of its own history and territory into a lever for redemption, regeneration and social cohesion through the languages of art. A message that is all the more significant at a difficult time for the wonderful Phlaean town. At the same time, the splendid Capri, with 'The Sirens of the New', confirms its vocation as an island-workshop, capable of engaging with the languages of modernity and the global contemporary, projecting its own myth into a dimension of continuous research and innovation. Both bear witness to a remarkable depth of content and a rare capacity for self-renewal and self-expression."
Campania, they concluded, "thus confirms itself as a permanent laboratory of vision, regeneration and development. We will wholeheartedly support this journey, certain that investing in art, creativity and beauty represents a fundamental driver of growth for the entire region and for the country as a whole."
