A civil police officer was killed by his daughter in the early hours of Thursday (30th) following a family dispute, according to the investigators responsible for the case.

The death occurred in Osasco, in Greater São Paulo.

The State Secretariat of Public Security stated that, according to the police report, the officer had allegedly threatened his wife and daughter with a gun during an argument at home.

His 23-year-old daughter reportedly managed to disarm him and fired one shot at him to defend her mother.

The civil police officer was assisted and taken to the Santo Antônio emergency room in Osasco, but died.

The case was recorded as homicide and threat at the 2nd Police District of Osasco.

The officer's daughter was heard by authorities and released.

The investigation is ongoing through a police inquiry by the Civil Police.
