MOSCOW, September 28. /TASS/. The Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine’s parliament, has proposed considering the relocation of critical enterprises to the country’s western regions and using underground metro tunnels for their operations.
"Perhaps we should consider moving critical institutions and enterprises to western Ukraine and start assessing our underground tunnels and metro systems for the work of critical infrastructure," Rada member Alexey Goncharenko (designated as a terrorist and extremist in Russia) wrote on Telegram.
He said that Russia essentially had complete control over the skies above Kiev. "I don’t know what verdict this is on the authorities. We probably need to do something," he concluded, noting that "an ordinary Shahed drone, not a jet-powered one," had hit the building of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
A new series of explosions occurred in the Ukrainian capital on Monday. Ukraine’s Novosti.Live reported damage to a strategic facility in Kiev’s Podolsky district. A fire in the National Academy of Sciences building in central Kiev had still not been extinguished.
