Selections based on a soft track.
Race 1
8. Stronghold is a colt by Harry Angel making his debut and he’s had three trials in preparation. His most recent two have been solid with a close-up fourth at Randwick before a win in a heat at Rosehill. He’s drawn ideally here in barrier two and gets his chance to start his career with a win. 9. Viva Macaco had trialled well before debuting with a close second at this track on July 2 and he looks set to run well again. 5. Real McCoy has had five trials in total leading into this first race start and he comes here after two recent efforts in which he’s finished sixth and seventh at Warwick Farm. He bears close watching. 2. Iniesta had two starts in August and September last year and has had two solid trials in preparation for this resuming run.
How to play it: Stronghold WIN.
