With chicken, onion, and a creamy mixture of just a few ingredients, this recipe turns out flavorful with a wonderfully moist filling. It can be made with leftover cooked chicken from a previous meal.
Ingredients
- 1 pie/tart crust
- 500 g cooked chicken breast
- 1 onion
- 1 red bell pepper
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- 2 eggs
- 100 g cream cheese
- 2 tablespoons of grated cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon of paprika
Preparation
Step 1
Shred the chicken by hand or with the help of two forks.
Step 2
Chop the onion and bell pepper. Heat the oil in a pan and sauté for 5 minutes, until the vegetables are tender.
Step 3
Add the shredded chicken, season with salt and pepper, and stir in the paprika. Mix and cook for 2 more minutes. Remove from heat.
Step 4
Beat the 2 eggs in a bowl. Add the cream cheese cut into small cubes and the grated cheese. Add the chicken and vegetables and mix well.
Step 5
Line a 24 cm tart pan with the pie crust. Pour in the filling and spread it evenly.
Step 6

Step 7
Remove from the oven, let it rest for 5 minutes, and serve.
Tips
Use leftover cooked chicken to save time and make the most of it.
