WASHINGTON, September 29. /TASS/. The Ukrainian capital is rapidly becoming a frontline city due to Russia’s technological advances, which the Ukrainian armed forces are unable to counter, The Washington Post reported.
The authors of the article noted that Russian troops are "deploying ever-faster, more advanced weaponry that is easily able to evade Ukrainian air defenses." Kiev, however, is unable to carry out the mass deployment of the necessary interceptors in the capital to counter the Russian Armed Forces, according to the publication.
Ukraine has recently been facing a shortage of interceptor missiles. In particular, Kiev is trying to obtain new supplies of missiles for the US Patriot air defense systems it uses. The Financial Times reported that US President Donald Trump, during a meeting with Vladimir Zelensky, refused to supply hundreds of missiles for the Patriot systems.
