A 33-year-old Italian man, Francesco Forzieri, was found dead in Ibiza on the morning of his birthday, Monday July 20. This was confirmed to ANSA by his brother, Antonio Forzieri, 38, who was boarding a flight to reach the Spanish island.
Francesco Forzieri, originally from Lucera (Foggia), was a resident of San Benedetto del Tronto (Ascoli Piceno) and worked on the island as a waiter. An autopsy is reported to have been carried out on the body, which was found lifeless near the restaurant "I Rigatoni," with the results still unknown.
"He had started the season in Ibiza in May with some friends," his brother said. "We were given the news by a friend of Francesco's who was trying to contact him to wish him a happy birthday via video call, but the phone was answered by Ibiza police officers. He worked as a waiter to fund his greatest passion, which was music, singing and DJing."
Forzieri, in fact, under the stage name "Jdf," was a member of the hip hop group "The Black Dogz" from Rodi Garganico (Foggia). The group and the family have launched a GoFundMe fundraiser to bring Francesco's body home. "You taught us that music is not just made of rhymes and beats, but of friendship, loyalty and heart," the group wrote on social media. "That is why your memory will live on in every song we make and every time we say our group's name."
