The FdI anti-occupation amendment: 'If the Municipality purchases the property, no regularization'

"Stop to any form of regularization or preferential treatment for those who illegally occupy private properties." This is the principle behind a new amendment presented by Deputy Speaker of the Chamber Fabio Rampelli (FdI) to the public administration decree.

"The rule," he explains, "establishes a clear prohibition: if a Municipality or other public body decides to purchase a property that was previously occupied illegally, the purchase prevents the regularization of the occupation on any grounds."

The announcement comes in the wake of the Spin Time case, but Rampelli's staff explains that "this is not a rule about this specific case, it concerns all properties in Italy."
